International Festival “Live in Blue Bay” took place for the fourth time in the Crimean resort Blue Bay. This is the only forum where everyone could enjoy good music and listen to the leading jazz musicians for free. Musicians performed on two stages. Over 30 jazz bands from 10 countries participated in the concerts. Initiator and ideologist of nonprofit jazz festival “Live in Blue Bay” is Kostiantyn Zelinsky (general director of Co Ltd. “Blue Bay”). For the fourth time during Indian summer holiday of jazz takes place for all the visitors and residents of the Crimea.

Andrey Makarevich, front man of the rock group Mashina vremeni was the headliner of the first day of “Live in Blue Bay.” He presented his new project “Jazz Transformations.” Makarevich took the stage together with famous jazz saxophonist Bril brothers.

On the second day the audience met Big-Band led by Serhii Shcherbakov (Donetsk), Polar Expedition (Norway), Yalta Jam (Ukraine), Bulba-funk band Chiefs Band (Minsk), and Fil Straughan& “Continent” (London).

The third day was marked by masterly performances of Jazz Lyre from Kyiv, Dixie Brothers Band from Rostov-on-Don. Quintet of David Tkebuchava together with Bril Brothers (Moscow) presented real jazz – classic melodies in modern variations. The top performer of the night was Enver Izmailov, the People’s Artist of Ukraine, Crimean magician of electric guitar. He presented his project “Kara-Dah.” The audience warmly welcomed the world-renowned virtuoso musician and feeling their support Izmailov played passionately sparing no strings. Swiss band The Clients finished the concert with their jazz-funk compositions. The audience danced and actively applauded and after the performance they twice called for an encore. According to an.crimea.ua, The Clients willingly complied with the desire of the audience.

By the way, this year the entire area in front of the main stage of the festival had free Wi-Fi coverage and every one could broadcast live concerts to their friends and quickly upload photos from the most important jazz event in Crimea – “Live in Blue Bay-2012.”

On the final day Jazz Do It & Yulia Razina (Dnipropetrovsk – Sevastopol), D.R. Jazz (Quartet led by Volodymyr Prykhozhai), Funky Hohols Band, and Pizhony (Moscow) performed on the main stage of the festival. The festival ended with a concert of Spanish band Kejaleo. The organizers promised that the next holiday of live sound Live in Blue Bay will be held in “Blue Bay” on the first weekend of September next year.
