The famous Harniunia and Sprytko will not represent Ukraine abroad. After a wave of public criticism Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to refuse from their services. But now the question arises: who and what should present Ukraine in the world?

The Day agrees with the opinion of the head of the Foreign Ministry information policy department Oleh Voloshyn, who said in an Internet publication that “the excessive attention to Harniunia and Sprytko is unjustified.” In fact, if the “broad nationwide discussion” announced by the ministry is taking place, we should concentrate on the real values, which Ukraine can offer to the world. Monuments with a thousand-year-old history, the heritage of Ukrainian aristocrats, the Ukrainian love of freedom, the uniqueness of natural landscapes – are not these the things with which we can endlessly astonish guests?

Without any connection to the Euro-2012, which has caused Ukrainian officials to work with fanatic ardor, we offer our readers to “take stock” of the most beautiful places and cities of Ukraine through their own efforts — from villages to megalopolises, from the Crimea to Sumy, from Mykhailivske to Chop. We encourage you to make photos of the Ukraine you would like to show to our guests. Surprise Europe, the world, and developers of the Strategy of Positioning Ukraine abroad.
