The exhibition presents the works of over a hundred craftsmen, decorative artists, and students of specialized educational institutions from Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Hungary, Poland, Canada, Britain, and the US. Among the exhibits are tapestries, glass-printed batiks, pysanky (traditional Ukrainian dyed eggs), various modern clothing designs, which combine the avant- garde with our nation’s traditions and modern-styled ethnic coloring. Of special interest are the works of fashion designers from Moldova: they have presented three collections of garments one of which is called, quite aptly, The Link of Times, while Lviv artists displayed their Winter Fairy Tale collection, received warmly by the audiences, as were the performances of Lelitochka, a folk group from Lviv.
On the same days, Ukraine House features another exhibition, the Art of Ukraine’s Peoples, with emphasis also laid on authentic and modern garments representing the various regions of Ukraine.
