The DU-NE creative association (Caen, France) opened an exhibition of the works by twenty-eight French and three Ukrainian photo artists on the theme of the egg myth at the Paris Space Arts & Communications Gallery. Vasyl Andrushko (sculpture), Yarema Protsiv (photography), and Myroslav Yasinsky (painting) all come from the Carpathian town of Kolomyia. Few years ago DU- NE President Regis Bodruh Palaniuk came to this town in his quest for family roots. The impressions from the Kolomyia Pysanka Museum prompted him an idea and symbol for an exhibition, an egg. The first display took place in 2001 in Kolomyia, second in the spring of 2002 at the French Cultural Center in Kyiv. After Paris the exhibition will move to Caen and then to Prague, Warsaw, and other European cities. Three new authors will join the exhibition in every new country, reports Rostyslav KONDRAT. Recall that renowned Kolomyia-based photo artist Yarema Protsiv is prizewinner of the Faces, Fates, Day, Century photo contest conducted by our newspaper in 2000. His work, The Old Original, won second prize in the Fates category.
