The reaction of participants of the rally held outside the Verkhovna Rada building on November 3 to protest against political repression, to call for the release of political prisoners, and to protect the results of the local elections, you can find below.

Anna, a volunteer of the National Defense Foundation:

“We are volunteers of the National Defense Foundation and came here from Dnipropetrovsk, outraged at the situation that has developed in our city and the foundation itself. We are suffering from government persecution. Law-enforcement officers very cynically broke into the foundation’s offices and conducted searches in the homes of our volunteer leadership. But we are not afraid and will keep working as before, we will just understand more clearly now, who our internal enemies are.”

Mykola, the commanding officer of the Second Assault Company (Afghan War Veterans) of the Aidar Battalion:

“The objective of our protest is to have Hennadii Korban, and all patriots who are today imprisoned for no good reason, released, and have a real purge of the law-enforcement agencies and the government started, for they are still full of corrupt officials and those responsible for the war. What has changed over the 1.5 years this president has been in office? They take bribes just as before, but demand larger sums to ‘offset the risks.’ If Ihor Kolomoisky is a ‘force of evil,’ one should remember that he helps four battalions, even though all his businesses in Russia and Crimea have been seized. Meanwhile, all Petro Poroshenko’s businesses in Russia are still operating, and he pays taxes funding the Russian military.”
