19 September, 2006 - 00:00
Since the first Roma art festival was held in 2000, it has drawn guests from Russia, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and many other countries, including, of course, Ukraine. The event is popular not only in Kyiv: it has devoted friends (the meaning of the word “amala”) all over Europe, who are gathering in Kyiv these days. This extravaganza occupies a special place in the mosaic of world cultures, offering visitors a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with the rich and highly distinctive gypsy art.
