Where there is no law, but every man does what is right in his own eyes, there is the least of real liberty

To GOGOLFEST for an autograph

30 September, 2015 - 17:22

Those who wanted to spend the weekend actively in an artistic environment visited the closing of the 8th International Festival of Contemporary Art GOGOLFEST. Who wanted also to learn something turned to the book area of the pavilion No. 7, to Den/The Day’s stand. On Saturday Politics Section Editor Ivan Kapsamun and Society Section Editor Maria Semenchenko were presenting there the books they compiled: “Trap,” or A Case without a Statute of Limitations and Catastrophe and Triumph. Histories of Ukrainian Heroes. During the non-formal communication the journalists told about the new books published in the publicist series and gladly signed the books bought by the customers. However, publicist series was not the only subject of interest of the visitors. Those who wanted to fill in the blanks in their historical knowledge were with interest looking through Return to Tsarhorod, The Power of the Soft Sign, and Ukraine Incognita. Apart from that, everyone willing could buy and send any books to the ATO area or sign a postcard for our servicemen.

Einstein asks Freud in a letter, whether the problem of war can be solved. Freud in his reply makes a conclusion that only development of culture can stop wars in the future. The subject of today’s GOGOLFEST, “Art of War. Art of Peace. Art of Love,” is the best expression of this idea. But intellectual basis is needed for development. And you can find it in Den’s Library.

As a reminder, all books can be ordered on our website.
