The exhibit “Gathered red clover, red rue…” (“Volodymyr Ivasiuk in pictorial art”) opened in Volodymyr Ivasiuk Memorial Museum. It displays over 20 portraits of Volodymyr Ivasiuk. These are works by famous artists Artem Prysiazhniuk and Orest Kryvoruchko. The exposition also shows many interesting children’s works, and also Volodymyr’s portrait, which was created by his family’s friend Oleksa Kucherenko in 1970, during Volodymyr’s lifetime. The exhibit also displays works by modern artists, in particular, art school students, which are dedicated to the outstanding composer. The exhibit will last until December 1.
On September 13 at Chernivtsi Teatralna Square the feast of Ukrainian songs marked the anniversary of the first performance of the songs “Chervona ruta” and “Vodohrai.” Namely at this square in far 1970 in the air of a popular program “Tuning fork of good mood” the songs, which brought the world glory to the maestro, were performed. Nearly 20 professional and amateur performers from Chernivtsi oblast took part in the concert. Volodymyr’s sister Halyna Ivasiuk-Krysa shared her memories about her brother. The first performer of the legendary hit Olena Kuznietsova, who sang “Chervona ruta” with Volodymyr Ivasiuk, came to Teatralna Square to recall that far day, as well as many friends and colleagues of the talented songwriter.
