Anatoly Kinakh: the Size of Ukrainian Budget Is Humiliating

18 June, 2002 - 00:00

The overall reserve of Ukraine’s state budget, excluding privatization revenues, reportedly increased by 28% in January to May 2002 compared to the same period of 2001, reaching UAH 12.95 billion. Announcing last Friday at the congress of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, Prime Minister Anatoly Kinakh noted that per capita revenues of Ukraine’s 2002 consolidated budget are $280 against $570 in Russia. “This is a very humiliating budget for a country like Ukraine,” Mr. Kinakh said.
