A monument to heroes of the Heavenly Hundred has been unveiled in the Portuguese city of Braga, the Embassy of Ukraine in Portugal reports on Facebook. It was initiated and funded by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Kyiv Patriarchate, and built by Braga-based architect F. Jorge. The official opening ceremony of the monument was attended by Ambassador of Ukraine in Portugal Inna Ohnivets, Archbishop Hilarion of Rivne and Ostroh, and other members of the clergy, vice president of the municipal council of Braga Firmino Marques, representatives of the Ukrainian community in Portugal. Ohnivets also stressed that it was the first monument to heroes of the Heavenly Hundred in Portugal and one of the first in Europe and worldwide.
