Some statements by Donald Trump, US presidential nominee from the Republican Party, are a betrayal of American values, said President Barack Obama. Speaking to graduates of Rutgers University (New Jersey), the incumbent leader of the US covertly criticized some of the billionaire’s remarks. In particular, Obama said that Trump had been “isolating and disparaging Muslims.” According to the President of the US, such businessman’s comments are a “betrayal of our values, of who we are.” Furthermore, Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from abroad from entering the US “would alienate the very communities at home and abroad who are our most important partners in combating violent extremism,” he said. “The world is more interconnected than ever before, and it’s becoming more connected every day. Building walls won’t change that. The point is: to help ourselves, we’ve got to help others,” said the President. Earlier, Donald Trump has repeatedly stated his plans to build a wall along the border with Mexico.
