Ksenia Zhyzhii is a 4th-year student of the Art Ceramics Department of Lviv National Academy of Arts. The display demonstrates her innovative approach to drawing, which she acquired during the study exchange in Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts (Poland). The exhibition consists of graphic art created in 2014-15 in the studio of Professor Wojciech Lupa.

The defining feature of “Faktura” project is that the graphic works are developed by a ceramist with good three-dimensional thinking, which gives a special texture and imaginative expression to the pictures. The works are made in a unique author’s technique by using unconventional tools and various household items: brooms, dusters, household brushes, hair sprays, food acids and more.

Ksenia Zhyzhii is a brilliant representative of the young generation of artists, who is actively experimenting with different techniques, shapes, and concepts. The range of her creative activities is quite wide, as she successfully works in the field of artistic ceramics, art and design.

The exhibition will be open through May 23.
